SCB ATM lays guilt trip on you if you get a recipt

I love SCB's approch to saving paper. The idea of a happy talking tree, asking if you want a receipt, and portrays the idea that at the press of the "Yes" button with the axe icon, a happy innocent tree will be felled somewhere in the world.

Finally, a way to watch NFL games in Thailand.

You would think the game of American Football was rated somewhere between horseshoes and golf if you went by the availability of NFL games on Thai TV. But for those of us who's brains can handle the complexity of American Football and have suffered through various attempts at watching your Team in a timely fashion, suffer no more. Tenyardtorrents.com is covering most, if not all of the games each Sunday and Monday. Yes, you will have to avoid looking at the score for 2-3 days, but if you can hold out, you will have a full length torrent of your your favorite match up (some in HD) WITHOUT ADS. That alone is worth waiting for. Once you log in, they are very careful with spoilers... as to not give away the results. Just get in and find your favorite Pro or College game or other football related content.

Update: Sportbit is another great source of NFL games.

How to tell if your Thai girlfriend is already married

From Asian Sweetheart"...I look at her ID card and it's obvious she was married before. That's because the title before her name is nang which means "Mrs." If she had never been married it would be nang sao which means "Miss". The title of nang is kept even if the lady gets divorced and reverts to her maiden name. Then I look at some of the letters the couple wrote to each other, letters they will use to prove the existence of a long term relationship. And in the letters the lady says she was never married."

Thais celebrate in the streets as YouTube access is restored

The Thai ban, which has been in place for the last five months, hit YouTube after contentious video clips of the country’s King Bhumibol Adulyadej were posted on its pages. The videos, which displayed the King close to the soles of feet (an image labelled as filthy in Thailand), were deemed to be offensive by authorities in a country where insulting the royal family is a serious offence.
